Some venues on site may be available
in the late evenings for alternative or extra informal recitals,
to be arranged by students with the blessing of the ISSMUS Committee.
This may give a chance to perform longer works than can be included
in the formal student concerts.
The final late-night Cabaret on Friday
night is a well established and often hilarious occasion, a chance
for everyone to relax and enjoy a range of (often unsuspected) talent
in more light-hearted vein!
It is in our Summer School concerts that
the ISSMUS ‘integrated approach to music-making’ becomes
most apparent. Last year our concerts featured our esteemed President
Bernard Roberts, the awe-inspiring accordionist Milos Milivojevic
and some remarkable student recitals including performances of work
composed during the Summer School. This year we can promise an equally
exciting range of concerts.
