The 'Friends of ISSMUS' scheme has the specific aim of enhancing the ISSMUS experience for all our students and staff, in particular focusing on the promotion and funding of the wonderful professional recitals which take place at the summer school and which give such pleasure.

The extra income, from past students and staff and other well-wishers, allows us to draw on a wide pool of performers, including musicians who are not ISSMUS tutors. In the past we have had recitals by artists of the calibre of Evelyn Tubb & Michael Fields, Alison Wells & Martin Parry and Nicolai Demidenko. We now particularly like to engage younger and up-and-coming performers for our regular Young Artists recital.
