Philippa Dearsley has a private singing practice
in Shrewsbury and Buckinghamshire, and teaches solo singing in a number
of different styles.
Robin Davis was organ scholar at Fitzwilliam
College, Cambridge, and is currently a Junior Fellow for piano accompaniment
at the Royal Academy of Music.

The focus of this course is repertoire presentation, be it opera,
lieder, religious music or musical theatre - the course is designed
to help young singers maintain and be inspired with a strategy towards
vocal technique and song characterisation, in order to deliver a
successful solo performance. You will be focusing on specific repertoire
and stage craft, working on solo items as well as in theatrical ensembles
(duets, trios, etc) with extracts and scenes from musical theatre,
operatic or recital repertoire. The set repertoire will be sent to
you as soon as you have been accepted onto the course.
Entertainment
Recreational activities
will be organised outside teaching hours, including an outing on
Wednesday afternoon for all students under the age of 18 (optional
for 18 – 21-year-olds)
House-parents
Outside teaching hours, house-parents will be on duty
at all times.
