Acclaimed pianist Tim Barratt is a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music
and Head of Keyboard at Dulwich College, as well as an Examiner, Moderator
and Trainer for the Associated Board.

Classes include work on piano technique, the
importance of words, and the balance between responding and taking
the initiative in performance. You will also have the opportunity
to develop your skills in playing with another instrument. This year
we will be inviting a violinist to join us for a few days early in
the week.
Course requirements
Piano Accompanists should have achieved Grade 7
at a high standard and must be competent sight-readers. First-time
applicants should send a reference from their teacher.
The Solo Singers and Piano Accompaniment courses are organised in
tandem so that each Solo Singer is paired with a single Piano Accompanist
for the duration of the Summer School. Piano Accompanists can expect
to work with two Solo Singers. You will be put in touch with your
course partners in advance in order to discuss and prepare repertoire.
Each duo will receive daily tuition from one of the three tutors.
