As coordinator of the Adult Pianists group, Carlina Carr shares her wide
experience of solo and chamber music performance and teaching, which
includes adult masterclasses and individual lessons.
Ruth Wilce is well known as a piano teacher
of the highest repute, having been Head of Music at Belmont Abbey School,
and subsequently having taught at Hereford Cathedral School; she has
a long established relationship with the Herefordshire Music Festival.

one-to-one lesson, plus group sessions Preparation You will be asked
to prepare at least three set pieces in advance Performance You will
not be required to play in public, but will have the chance to play
to your peer group at the end of the week
Some group sessions will be devoted to works of a particular composer
and to the important basics of piano-playing: technique, fingering,
touch, tone and pedalling. These issues will provide the focus for
individual lessons, and there will also be the opportunity for duo
work. You are encouraged to bring piano duet music as well as solo
pieces, and your tutors will provide further material for you during
the week.
